Notes About the Noor-un-Nisa Dossier

This website is a project by Cecil Touchon and Noor-un-Nisa Touchon, a father/daughter team. Cecil Touchon is a contemporary artist and photographer.

Noor-un-Nisa Touchon is a budding model, actress and photographer. It has been Noor-un-Nisa´s dream since the age of two years old to be on the screen. As soon as she could articulate the desire she pointed at the television and said; "I want to be in there." We thought that perhaps she thought it was another reality that she could walk into and join the children on the program but in fact she was clear that she wanted to be on the screen acting with the other children she saw there.

We assumed this would pass but her interest has merely deepened. She has in fact been a stand in for a young actress by the name of Aline Mayagoitia (below left) on an Hollywood movie called Coronado by producers Academy Award winner Volker Engel(Independance Day)and Marc Weigert CEO of Dreamscape Imagery Inc.
Part of Coronado was shot in Cuernavaca at a local jail that was being torn down (botton right). Noor-un-Nisa got the opportunity to work with and watch Clayton Rohner (The Relic) and Kristin Dattilo and participate with the film crew during the shoot.

However once Nisa realized she would not be in the actual movie and was only being used to stage the shots for Aline, she was disappointed and lost interest in that project quickly, she wanted to be the star and this position as a stand in didn´t serve her desires. It was however a great introduction to the working process of film making and has served to pique her interest and widen her understanding.

Nisa has also worked with friends on a weekend radio program in Cuernavaca as well as several school plays and has had a story included in an national anthology of children´s stories here in Mexico.

She loves to watch movies over and over and memorize the lines and act them out. Consequently a lot of our communication is in relation to movie dialog that we share in common.
